Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) lean ground turkey (93/7)
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1.5 cups marinara sauce (low sugar)
- Italian herbs, salt and pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a tray.
- Mix the turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, herbs, salt and pepper until just combined.
- Roll into 12 meatballs and place on the tray.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes until cooked through (165°F / 74°C).
- Warm the marinara in a pan, add the meatballs, and simmer for 5 minutes. Serve over zucchini noodles, pasta or rice.
Tips
Do not overmix the meat or the meatballs turn dense. Freeze cooked meatballs for up to 2 months for fast high-protein dinners.
